Our presentation wasn't as good as we could have made it. We had a problem because Emile only had two days to help with the skit and presentation. We should have practiced more and that way we would have realized that we don't have enough information. In the end Emile kind of improvised but then he ended up speaking too much. We also should have made more of an effort to learn our lines. We probably could have done better. On the other hand, the actual keynote presentation was pretty good.
Health Food Tasting Reflections:
Today, on the twenty second of april, the obesity and packaging grade 5 exhibition groups tasted some of the healthy snack items that will be available in the new scools two vending matchines. These were brought in by a health addiction employee, Grace. She let us sample many different low calorific food and drinks. Also, the packaging group told grace on how the packaging on the items could be improved. I personally loved the sweet fizzy apple juice drink and the savoury Bite Me healthy rice chips. The rice chips were all eaten in seconds!

At snack, the obesity and packaging group had a meeting with Grace from WWC. The obesity group chose some foods to try and see the ingredients. We looked at the foods and talked about the packaging, most of the foods didn’t have great packaging but on the flip side everything was healthy! We enjoyed tasting the foods, and they are good for you! That proves that healthy food is better than junk food in both ways, taste and health.

On the 22nd of april 2013 the obesity group had a meeting with the packaging group about the new healthy vending machines that grace from the health education presented to us. We then asked question’s for example I asked “how many items can we put in the vending machine.” I found out that their are 30 coils in the large vending machine which we are getting. After we asked questions we got to try the food that might be in the vending machine. My favorite drink was the yogurt because it was so smooth and my favorite snack was the bite me baked chips.

Usually at snack time everyone runs around and has a lot of fun and even though the obesity group had a lot of fun, we weren't running around and it wasn't a normal snack time. It was an action time. On the 22nd of April the obesity group met the packaging group, Mr Musco and Grace (a representative from Health addiction) to discuss what foods were going to be put in the secondary school vending machine next year. At first we talked mainly about the packaging and I didn't have much to contribute. Then we changed the topic into healthy food. Although at that point I could actually say something of value the subject didn't last long because it was all very healthy. After that we started passing around the food to get a better idea and after a couple of minutes we shared what we found out. Then it was time to go. I ran down to get the camera so that we could get proof of our action and when I came back up everyone was eating the food. I took a glass of banana smoothie and looked at the camera. Mr. Musco took a picture of all of us with our food and we started wrapping everything up. I ended up with a pack of rice puffs, which tasted really good, for lunch. All in all I think we had a pretty fun and tasty snack time/action time.
